三浦宗民｜みうら・そうみん（旧名：高宗民）、愛称「ジョンさん」。2000年生まれ。日本の青森県五戸町に生まれ、韓国の木浦市で育つ。15歳の頃、単身で札幌へ渡日・帰国する。言語の壁に直面し、一時期不登校となったが、高校生の時に旅を通じて知見を広げる。記憶に残る旅は、スペインのサンティアゴ巡礼である。立命館アジア太平洋大学（別府）にて安藤百福名誉博士奨励賞を受賞し、卒業。

現在は京都を中心に、多拠点で活動している。2024年より京都芸術大学大学院・後藤繫雄ラボに所属し、コンテンポラリーアートや写真論を研究しながら、写真作品制作を続けている。

制作のテーマは『Nowhere』。境界を超え、異なる社会構造に飛び込む。未知のリズムに身を委ねて生きるうちに、境界は溶け、世界は拡張する。旅の断片を回想し、記録と想像が交錯する物語へと再構築することで、主観と客観、自己と他者のあわいを探る。

Born in 2000 in Gonohe, Aomori, Japan, and raised in Mokpo, South Korea. At the age of 15, he moved alone to Sapporo, Japan. Struggling with language barriers, he experienced a period of school refusal but later expanded his perspectives through travel during high school. One of his most memorable journeys was the Santiago de Compostela pilgrimage in Spain. He graduated from Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Beppu), receiving the Ando Momofuku Honorary Doctoral Award.

Currently based in Kyoto, he works across multiple locations. Since 2024, he has been a member of the Goto Tsuneo Lab at Kyoto University of the Arts, researching contemporary art and photographic theory while continuing to create photographic works.

His creative practice revolves around the theme of "Nowhere." He crosses borders, immersing himself in unfamiliar social structures, and lets himself be carried by rhythms unknown. As he moves through these experiences, boundaries dissolve, and the world expands. By revisiting fragments of past journeys and reconstructing them through the intersection of memory and imagination, he explores the in-between spaces of subjectivity and objectivity, self and others.
